Makio Kidōin (鬼堂院 真緒, Kidōin Makio) is the female protagonist. She is the daughter of a prominent family who lives alone and Yōtarō Hanabusa watches over her.

A rich little girl, living in a big Mansion.
Appearance[]
Makio has long asparagus colored hair.
Mostly she is wearing clothers which have red parts or the clother itself is red. She isn't wearing only one clother like most characters in the series.
Personality[]
Makio is a nice, kind young girl. She is always trying hard to stay focused and positive when hard times are coming. She doesn't want her friend to see her unhappy. Makio really cares about her friends and she isn't ashamed being naked in front of Yotaro. She is always acting serious toward him thought.
After discovering that Yotaro is the Lancer, her feelings toward him became even stronger and they became very near friends.
Etymology[]
- The name Makio means "real, genuine" (真) (maki) and "thread" (緒) (o).
- Makio's surname Kidōin means "demon, ogre, daemon" (鬼) (ki), "hall" (堂) (dō) and "hospital" (院) (in).
